In the early days, as I found out that you didn’t have to be rich to have a “website” (before the local dawn of social media), this started as a blog on one of the larger blog platforms at the time in the country. The reason for this was that I back then already had a ambition to make a digital trademark and create a platform that could represent and carry me for who I am. It was around this time that the name I am using came was created to hide my real name while online, but as of today I am more synonymous with that than I am with my legal name both online and in real life.
Fast forward a couple of years and I migrated from this national platform to google’s service “blogger” and this was where things really took a turn for the better. It was also around this time that I started to experiment and discover who I really am, found a lot of online communities and ultimately a lot of dear contacts that I still hold on to this day. It was around this time that the first traits of the minimalist yet thematic designs became visible that I am using today. With rotating themes depending on the season and interactive counters, this was a well flourished personal blog and diary that had a constant flow content and thematic updates.
Over time, I started to feel limited by this format, I needed something more without having to spend a lot of money on it. I pictured several pages, sections and a landing page and that was what initially brought me to WordPress, along with what I could do with the free plan at the time. The view count suffered a major hit but I did feel much more comfortable with showing my site to people. Ironically enough, this minimalist form factor later came to be desired by UX/web designers and the people who pointed me out all reverted to do Facebook exclusively.
Time eventually came to repeat itself again and I ended up in some personal hardships which slowly led the site to slumber, until the spring of 2019 where the last major overhaul started to happen. It was at this time where a lot of the features you see today were implemented: a complete overhaul of the site with heavy HTML/CSS customization of a new theme and upgraded pay plans to bring it to the next level. During the summer of 2019, several new sections have reached their final stages of development before publishing, including portfolio, publications, travels and more.
